Workshop III: Technology & Poetics: Dome Immersive Creative Workshop<\/strong><\/p>\n

The dome theater, as a unique immersive performance space, envelops audiences within 360-degree panoramic visuals and spatial audio, transcending the traditional flat-screen viewing framework to create an all-encompassing perceptual experience. This workshop takes the FVL DOME at Taiwan Contemporary Culture Lab (C-LAB) as its target venue, guiding students through the production workflow and technical essentials of immersive content creation. The workshop covers conceptual development for immersive performances, the creative possibilities of interactive new media art in immersive contexts, introductory techniques for dome content production using TouchDesigner and Unity, testing methods with the Dome VR simulator, and considerations for sound engineering within spherical spaces. Through hands-on practice and discussion, participants will learn how to approach visual composition, spatial narrative, and bodily perception within the dome environment, ultimately exploring the intersection between technological media and poetic expression.<\/p>\n
