Scherbakov對鋼琴曲目與錄音目錄的巨大貢獻無庸置疑。他擁有極其豐富且艱難的曲目，錄製專輯逾 60 張。永無止境的好奇心、深刻的分析能力與精湛技術，是他探索鋼琴文學海洋的基石。Scherbakov的藝術堅持極為純粹：他會完整演奏並錄製與其產生共鳴之作曲家的全本作品，包括貝多芬、高多夫斯基（Godowsky）、蕭士塔高維奇、雷史畢基與拉赫曼尼諾夫的所有鋼琴創作。

“One of the most capable, daring and interesting musicians of these days” — Peter Cossé described Konstantin Scherbakov. Once a “Superstar for insiders” (Die Welt), Scherbakov is today one of internationally renowned pianists who take a special place in the modern piano world.
His immense contribution to the piano repertoire and recording catalogue are undisputed. His repertoire is vast and demanding; his discography consists of more than 60 CDs. Insatiable musical curiosity, an analytical mind, and unlimited virtuosity are the essential qualities that have accompanied Scherbakov across the ocean of piano literature. Scherbakov’s approach is simple — he plays every single piece written by the composers he feels affinity with, including everything Beethoven, Godowsky, Shostakovich, Respighi, and Rachmaninoff wrote for the piano.
Many such projects were recorded, including Beethoven’s 32 Sonatas, Liszt’s transcriptions of all nine Symphonies, and Godowsky’s oeuvre on 15 CDs. His phenomenal concerto repertoire of 60 works includes all pieces for piano and orchestra by Medtner, Tchaikovsky, and Rachmaninoff. Scherbakov has performed as soloist with the world’s finest orchestras under conductors Christian Thielemann, Yuri Simonov, and Kirill Petrenko.
He studied in Moscow under Lev Naumov and won the 1983 Rachmaninoff competition. 2023 marked Scherbakov’s 60th anniversary and half a century on stage, commemorated by the completion of the complete works by Leopold Godowsky; he remains the only pianist who brought the project to the end. Most remarkably, he has launched a culminating project: the audiovisual recording of all original piano works by Sergei Rachmaninoff.
