今年全球最大的科技藝術節 – 奧地利林茲的〝國際電子藝術節(ARS Electronica)〞即將開展(9/9~9/13),今年已是第41年了。今年因COVID-19全球疫情嚴峻,ARS 2020特別以 “Local Exhibition and Global Connection” 概念來舉辦電子藝術節,用線上方式廣招全球五大洲超過100個不同城市同步展出,今年的主題為“Garden”。清華大學今年度也以「Tsing Hua Garden」加入國際參展展區,展覽內容包含「春苦秋實(第15屆KT科技藝術展)」、「含苞待放(清華校內學生展覽)」、「360 Garden View」。清華大學有許多湖與樹林,本身就是一個大而美的花園;清華也具有廣泛的學術領域,兼融了科學、科技、人文與藝術。盼藉這次「Tsing Hua Garden」展覽讓世界看到台灣與清華大學的「跨域之林」的發展。

The internationally renowned Electronic Arts Festival (ARS Electronica) in Linz, Austrian has been 41 years old. Due to the severe global epidemic of COVID-19 this year, ARS Electronica especially makes “Local Exhibition and Global Connection” to hold the festival. There are more than 100 different cities on the five continents of the world are recruited online to exhibit simultaneously. The theme for this year is “GARDEN”. We can see the different styles and specialties in different cities online.
Tsing Hua Garden is a joint event of Ars Electronica Festival 2020 hosted by National Tsing Hua University (NTHU). NTHU has plenty of lakes and forests which constitute a big and beautiful garden. NTHU has a wide range of academic fields, converging creativity in science, technology, humanity, and art.
